Welcome to the Norwegian Rheumatism Association

The Norwegian Rheumatism Association (NRF) is one of Norway's largest voluntary organisation, with nearly 37 000 members. NRF is an organisation for people with all types of rheumatism, and other musculo-sceletal conditions.

Since the foundation in 1951 the Norwegian Rheumatism Association has worked with and for people with rheumatic diagnoses. We create opportunities for our members to develop self-esteem and independence by way of offering a social network, personal services, support, self-help groups, remedial training and information, along with the possibility of influencing health and socio-political policy and decision-making.

The Norwegian Rheumatism Association operates as an influential mediator with regard to national, regional and local authorities via our organisational infrastructure. We are working for the establishment of interdisciplinary co-operation in which we emphasise the participation of people with rheumatic diseases. NRF is actively committed to both increasing the numbers of rheumatologists being educated and improving the provision of treatment for rheumatics.
